Several important changes occurred to the Sports Act within the last two years. How have they affected entrepreneurship of trainers and instructors of group exercises \u2013 lately called sports professionals? In cooperation with the <a href=\"http:\/\/monitoringmsp.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Business Sector Monitoring department<\/a>, we have prepared a transparent handbook for you about entrepreneurship of sports professionals to be found on their web page.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-2065-1\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-2065-1-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-2065-1-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child\" data-index=\"1\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<h2>1.\u00a0Who does belong among sports professionals?<\/h2>\n<p>A relatively new term, which has <strong>covered occupations belonging formerly under the trade licence for performing specialized activities in the field of physical culture<\/strong> within the last two years and which is specified in Section 6 of Sports Act as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>sports trainers and instructors<\/li>\n<li>natural persons performing professional activities in sports upon the professional competence obtained in accordance with special regulations or defined upon regulations of a sports association<\/li>\n<li>natural persons performing professional activities in sports, for which professional competence is not required in compliance with competition rules and regulations of a sports association<\/li>\n<li>inspectors or officers of a sports organization<\/li>\n<li>doping control officers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you found yourself in any of this occupations, Section 6 (3) of Sports Act would have arranged several possibilities of how to perform them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>as an enterprise<\/li>\n<li>upon a contract for performing activities of sports professionals<\/li>\n<li>upon an employment or similar relation<\/li>\n<li>as a voluntary worker (upon a contract for a voluntary work, when compensation for the time spent by such voluntary worker in the maximum sum of the minimum hourly rate is not wage but other income relieved of income tax in the total sum of EUR 500 for the whole tax period, i.e. one year)<\/li>\n<li>without any contract (i.e. without claiming any compensation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/monitoringmsp.sk\/2019\/10\/24\/informacie-pri-zacati-podnikania-v-sporte-ubytovani-a-zdravotnictve\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Legal framework for entrepreneurship of sports professionals<\/a><\/h4>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/monitoringmsp.sk\/2019\/10\/24\/informacie-pri-zacati-podnikania-v-sporte-ubytovani-a-zdravotnictve\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Institutional framework for entrepreneurship of sports professionals<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-2065-1-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_media_image\" data-index=\"2\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" src=\"http:\/\/lepsiezakony.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/AdobeStock_101916333-1024x683.jpg\" class=\"image wp-image-1725  attachment-large size-large\" alt=\"\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto;\" srcset=\"http:\/\/lepsiezakony.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/AdobeStock_101916333-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/lepsiezakony.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/AdobeStock_101916333-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/lepsiezakony.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/AdobeStock_101916333-768x513.jpg 768w, http:\/\/lepsiezakony.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/AdobeStock_101916333-696x464.jpg 696w, http:\/\/lepsiezakony.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/AdobeStock_101916333-1068x713.jpg 1068w, http:\/\/lepsiezakony.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/AdobeStock_101916333-629x420.jpg 629w, http:\/\/lepsiezakony.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/AdobeStock_101916333-272x182.jpg 272w, http:\/\/lepsiezakony.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/AdobeStock_101916333.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" \/><\/div><div id=\"panel-2065-1-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"3\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<h2>Licence to perform activities of sports professionals as a business<\/h2>\n<p>If you meet requirements of the definition of a sports professional, still you may not start your sports business unless you <strong>have obtained a licence<\/strong>; to obtain it, you have <u>to fill up<\/u>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>the application for registration in the list of sports professionals in the form of an electronic form and to submit other documents<\/strong> (certificate of professional competence \u2013 such as a photocopy of your diploma + statutory declaration of impeccability). A detailed procedure of how to fill up the electronic form can be found on the Ministry\u2019s web page <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ziadosti-sport.iedu.sk\">www.ziadosti-sport.iedu.sk<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>the application for registration of your business licence<\/strong> \u2013 i.e. submitting the data under Section 6 (4) of Sports Act. The application for registration of your business licence may also be filed through the district office acting as the point of single contact or sent to the respective address of the Ministry.
